Brief introduction of Graphite Male – Female Rods

by ray / Monday, 02 November 2020 / Published in blogs

Graphite Male – Female Rods is a non-metallic product, as a necessary cutting consumables before welding in carbon arc air gouging cutting process. It is made of carbon and graphite plus appropriate adhesive, extruded, baked at 2200 ℃ and then plated with a layer of copper. It has high temperature resistance, good conductivity and is not easy to break. It is suitable for cutting metal into the required shape.

Graphite Male – Female Rods is usually used in the electric heater of high temperature vacuum furnace, the maximum operating temperature can reach 3000 ℃, and it is easy to oxidize at high temperature. It can only be used in neutral or reducing atmosphere except vacuum. Its thermal expansion coefficient is smaller, its thermal conductivity is larger, its resistance coefficient is (8 ~ 13) × 10-6 Ω· m, its processability is better than that of SiC and MoSi2 rods, it has good high temperature resistance, extreme cold and extreme heat resistance, and its price is cheaper.

Main functions of Graphite Male – Female Rods: platinum gold smelting and alloy. Graphite features: strong oxidation resistance, low resistance race, service temperature up to 1800 ℃ and corrosion resistance.

Graphite rod supplies graphite rod, grinding graphite rod, isostatic pressing graphite rod, high purity graphite / carbon graphite seal / carbon graphite bearing / spark graphite.
